How to Make a Bootable Drive Image
- 1). Open the drive imaging application and select the "Create image file from files/folders" or similar option.
- 2). Select the "Select source drive" or similar option. This may be on the main application screen or under the "File" menu.
- 3). Navigate to and select the hard drive you would like to back up.
- 4). Select the "Select destination file" or similar option. This may be on the main application screen or under the "File" menu.
- 5). Navigate to your destination folder, create a file name, making sure the file type is ISO, click "Save" and wait for the process to complete.
- 1). Open your DVD burning application.
- 2). Select the "Write" or "Burn DVD" option.
- 3). Select the "Select source file" option. This may be on the main application screen or under the "File" menu.
- 4). Navigate to and select the ISO file that contains the image file you are backing up.
- 5). Insert a blank DVD into your computer's DVD drive.
- 6). Select the DVD drive from the "Destination" drop-down box, click on the "Write" or "Burn DVD" and wait for the process to complete. The process can take some time to finish.
