Weight Control With Food Restriction? Ridiculous
This may include decreasing portion size during a meal or using lower calorie foods to fill up our plates.
If we take time out and think about this proposition for a while we would come to realize that this approach is self defeating and ridiculous.
Firstly if you restrict your food intake you are likely to reduce the necessary ingredients that the body requires to bring about vital repairs.
Hence the effect of daily wear and tear on your body is going to accelerate and will make you look, feel and function old.
Secondly your body is obviously an intelligent functioning organism.
Therefore if you are engaged in a program that is restricting food intake it is reasonable to expect that the body will take measures to conserve energy or store fat.
The longer you are engaged in this food restriction the greater the measures the body will take to conserve fat.
If for some reason you are not able to continue your food restriction program for example during pregnancy or during period of depression then you will be packing on pounds rapidly since your body is now set to conserve energy.
Therefore it is not surprising when persons exclaim how they gain a lot of weight after only a brief period of eating more than their usual amount.
In conclusion managing your weight with food restriction is a ridiculous endeavor that will only get you old and fat.
