    • 1). Open the recovery cylinder's liquid port and check for leaks in hoses or connections. Open the output port and manifold gauge's liquid port to reduce recovery time.

    • 2). Connect the recovery machine to a 115V outlet and turn on the power switch to confirm the fan is running. Press the compressor start switch. If the compressor does not engage, wait ten seconds and press the switch again.

    • 3). Open the unit's input port slowly. Throttle back if you hear the compressor knocking until the sound subsides. Ensure the input valve manifold gauge and set-vapor port are fully opened when the liquid is completely removed from the air conditioner.

    • 4). Run the machine until the desired vacuum is achieved.

    • 5). Close the manifold gauge set-vapor and liquid ports as well as the unit's input port. Shut off the unit.

    • 6). Purge the recovery machine to avoid acidic degradation of internal components, which could cause unit failure.
