Desperate For an Online Income? The Realism of How Hard it Can Be
I don't mean to be harsh, I just think that these people need a hit of realism on how the Internet is operating now it's on it's way into the year 2010.
Rewind ten years ago and this was a totally different story.
The Internet was still very much in it's infancy, it still is today, but not as it was back then.
Everyone used to say that "5 years in the offline world is equivalent to one year in the online world".
This is meaning that the Internet changes so very fast in everything it does, whether it be new marketing strategies popping up, or the way people communicate etc..
This is showing that the Internet is still evolving and trying to find it's feet.
So when the first crowd came online (including little me!) we all saw it as an opportunity to make some easy money.
I then realised that you had to at least have a website to make some money, so I built a few of those.
Over the years I've realised more and more that the online world is bringing in the same business principles as the offline world.
In other words, you must adopt the mindset of a business owner and build a solid, genuine Internet Business in order to stand the test of time.
The realism is that yes, it is hard to build an income online, and no, not everyone can do it.
Granted, it is much easier and a way lot cheaper to build a business online, but you still have to put in the hard work and build the solid foundations as if you were building an offline business up from scratch.
The good news is that if you have the desire to learn and possess a few writing and communication relationship skills, then you too can succeed online.
