How to Add a High E & F to a Vintage Baritone Saxophone

    • 1). Assemble your saxophone.

    • 2). Warm up as you normally do, playing to the outer edges of your range.

    • 3). Press the octave key mechanism, which is the teardrop pearl key at the top of your left hand, and the usual middle and ring finger pearl keys on the same hand. Blow as normal, experimenting with tongue placement until the note speaks properly. This is your high E. Articulate the note again, with your tongue in the "right" place for you.

    • 4). Proceed through step three again, but without your ring finger down. This is your high F.
