The Vestax VCI-100 Midi Controller has gained an almost fanatical cult following in the Digital DJ world. As a regular user, its easy to see why - with its insanely solid controls and easy to program midi responses. Alas, one thing missing from the VCI-100 is a soundcard and that is what the Vestax VAI-80 is.
With its bright red color, the sound is just as bright and its built solid. No it's not too heavy, but it feels sturdy like a tank. I could definitely see this little guy standing up to the abuse of road-dog djs. The inclusion of XLR output is definitely a plus for DJs who want more options for outputting their sound to club systems.
