What are Slankets?
This is where the inspiration of Slankets came about. The inventor of the Slanket is Gary Clegg. He envisioned this during his freshman year at the University of Maine when he couldn't bear the cold in his dorm room. He tried using his blanket to wrap keep himself warm but then he couldn't move around and perform his normal tasks around his dorm room.
Slankets are basically blankets that are made like clothing apparel. It's made from the fabric used for blankets such as fleece. It is long enough and loose enough to cover the entire body of an average adult. The good thing about Slankets is that they have provisions for arms. It's basically like a blanket with sleeves on it. So, you can keep yourself warm just like when a blanket is wrapped around you but without the hassle of trying to keep thank blanket wrapped around while doing your normal tasks at home such as enjoying a hot cup of cocoa, using your computer or cooking a meal.
Slankets are now available for adult sizes and children's sizes. The adult size measures at about 60 inches by 95 inches, enough to cover an adult male or female. The children's size on the other hand measures at about 44 inches by 66 inches which is enough for children aged 5 to 8 years old. Both are available in various solid colours or printed designs.
