    For Surprise Parties

    • Surprise birthday parties are meant to be jovial affairs. Although you want to keep a secret, so that the guest of honor will be surprised, you want the whole process to be one full of laughter and happy anticipation. Using a rhyming verse on the invitation can help get all of your guests into the right frame of mind. Some catchy examples are:

"There's a Birthday Party, and you're invited to show. But don't tell [NAME], because he doesn't know! So if you can make it, here's a word to the wise, make sure to come early, 'cause it's a surprise!"

"Be careful what you do and say, for this is a SURPRISE! When [NAME] arrives at the party place, she won't believe her eyes!"

    Milestone Birthdays

    • There are a number of milestone birthdays that can be celebrated. Sending out an invitation to any of these major birthdays is a perfect opportunity to use a little rhyme. Some cute ones are:

"Celebrate the happy times, raise a glass of beer. Come celebrate with [NAME], in honor of his 40th year!"

"[PLACE] will be the scene, to celebrate [NAME] Sweet 16. [DATE] is the date, the party starts at [TIME], so don't be late. Your presence is crucial, so RSVP, by returning your response card ASAP."

"The time is here, let's give a cheer! We must all buy [NAME] a beer! Join us for a birthday full of fun --- our friend [NAME] is 21!"
