Cheats for Final Fantasy 5
- 1). Set one of your characters as either Ninja or a Thief so it has "Steal" and "Throw" commands.
- 2). Drop any Flametongue swords into your inventory. Move the first item in your inventory slot down so the top left slot is empty.
- 3). Open the "Equip" menu and select your Ninja or Thief. Unequip his weapon.
- 4). Travel to the Interdimensional Rift caves and wander around until you enter a battle with Sybaritic. Wait for your Ninja or Thief's turn to come up.
- 5). Select "Item" and then your previously unequipped weapon. Choose your character's right hand and he will equip the weapon. Choose "Throw" and select the empty slot where the weapon once was. The game will register this as a valid throw.
- 6). Choose "Steal" with your character on his next turn. Repeat the "Steal" command until he acquires the Flametongue from the Sybaritic. Choose "Throw" and select the Flametongue on your turn with the character.
- 7). Defeat Sybaritic with any attack and enter the inventory menu. You will have 255 Flametongue swords which can be sold for over 5000 gold pieces each. Repeat as many times as you want with any weapon.
- 1). Go to Walse Castle and enter the basement.
- 2). Choose the "Quicksave" option from the game menu, save and return to the main menu. Load your quicksave file.
- 3). Walk no more than five steps in any direction through the basement of Walse Castle. Quicksave and exit the game.
- 4). Reload the game and walk another five steps. Continue to quicksave and load until you reach the chest with the Elven Mantle. This accessory allows you to evade attacks 25 percent of the time.
- 5). Continue the pattern to leave the basement of the castle and you will not have to battle Jackanapes, the overpowered creature lurking there.
- 1). Head to the pub in Regole in the GBA version (Lugor in the PlayStation) on the northern end the eastern continent.
- 2). Go up the stage and press "X" on the PlayStation or "A" on the GBA. You will perform a short dance and receive 100 gold pieces.
- 3). Press "Up" and then "X" or "A" to dance again for another 100 gold pieces. There is no limit to this cheat.
- 1). Set one of your characters as a Chemist and one as a Red Mage.
- 2). Enter a battle and cast "Mix" with your Chemist. Choose any item to mix.
- 3). Cast Dualcast, (X-Magic in the PlayStation), with your Red Mage. A glitch will cause the second spell of the Dualcast to affect the same targets as the first.
