“Escape from reality” to the musical drawn from the timeless lyrics of Queen. This musical is about a future era of conformity and the rebellious Bohemians who fight to remain free. Against the rules, they pick up their instruments, write their own songs and keep their promise to “rock you.”

A pearl in an otherwise rather shiny crown of funk venues in Madrid, this nightly extravaganza of beats, brass and life bounces, bumps and hums like nobody's business whether on a Wednesday night at 4am or a Saturday at 11pm.

This exhibit, which covers Ecuadorian history from the pre-Hispanic, indigenous period, through the colonial period, to modern times, illustrates the dual reality of an ever-changing culture, while still maintaining strong ties to its roots.

Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina SofÌa (c/Santa Isabel 52, tel: 91 774 1000 Atocha (Line 1)
The exhibition ‘Art in Movement’ hosts over 80 works, chosen to highlight the importance of Latin American artists in the evolution of kinetic art in the 20th century. Prepare to be moved, quite literally, by the works which sometimes motivate their audiences to manoeuvre around in search of the perfect viewpoint.

EL TEATRO CIRCO PRICE
(c/La Ronda de Atocha 35 u Embajadores (Line 3) Open Engagement
The new Teatro Circo Price continues the legacy of the original Circo Price, which was demolished in 1970. The new building can be used for a wide range of purposes, one of which includes the circus. Keep a look out for their upcoming show of equestrian cabaret airing from the third to the 29th of July.

DOCE ARTISTAS EN EL MUSEO DEL PRADO

The Prado Museum hosts 24 works made by 12 female artists to tie past art with the present by showing contemporary works that were highly influenced by past veterans.

AQUI Y AHORA. TIEMPO Y LUGAR
Sala Alcala 31 (c/Alcala 31, tel: 91 720 8117 u Banco de EspaÒa or Sevilla (Line 2)
‘Here and now' see the contemporary works of 21 young artists who represent life today through mediums as diverse as photography, animation and videography. This show inspires wonder in the greatest sense and raises the standard of creativity with artists such as Amparo Sard and Nuria Fuster.
