Location

• The Comfort Hotel Weissensee is located in northeast Berlin in the Weissensee district, Berlin's smallest district. Just blocks away is the extensive Weissensee Park and Lake, with large grassy areas for picnicking and sports. Guests can take the 151 bus (stop is across the street from the hotel) to downtown Berlin and major tourist attractions. The nearby Weissensee Jewish Cemetery was dedicated in 1880 and contains memorials to victims of the Holocaust.

  The on-site restaurant, Waldoff, serves both traditional German and European food. It specializes in seasonal flavors with a daily changing menu. Try traditional German fare like wurst (sausage) and spätzle, a noodle side dish. During the summer, an outdoor beer garden offers local beers and wines in a sunny atmosphere. Brunch for 14.99 Euros ($19.44) is offered at the restaurant and includes seasonal fruits and vegetables, cheese, salad and meats.
  
  

Visiting Berlin

  The 151 bus goes from the hotel to downtown Berlin; the closest underground stop, Vinetastrasse, is 1.8 miles away. Once in Berlin, take a guided tour of Berlin's Parliament building (Reichstag), which dates to 1884. Its glass-dome top, which was constructed in 1999, offers a 360-degree view of the city. Walk around Alexanderplatz, the city's best-known neighborhood and public square, which houses many department stores and Berlin's largest underground railway station. Visit one of the 16 National Museums of Berlin, which feature art, history and archaeology collections.
