    • 1). Plan your meals ahead of time. Planning at least a day before will keep you from impulse eating the bad foods that keep your weight up. Plan a healthy, low-calorie meal that will help you avoid chowing down on fast food and quick boxed meals with no nutritional value and high calorie content.

    • 2). Eat four to six small meals a day to prevent yourself from becoming hungry throughout the day. This will also help to raise your metabolism as your body will believe that it is consistently full and not starving.

    • 3). Eat two raw fruits or vegetables before each meal. Eating raw fruits or vegetables actually burns calories as your body uses energy to digest these foods. Drinking ice cold water also does the trick as they body also uses energy to warm the water up to body temperature. Do not, however, drink fruit juices because they contain a high quantity of sugar.

    • 4). Schedule workout times twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. Every other day use weights during your workout. This builds muscle which will help you burn fat. Fluctuate the intensity of your cardio workouts. High intensity workouts will burn up carbohydrates while low intensity workouts will help trip excess fat.

    • 5). Rest between workouts. This is important as your body needs recovery and healing time. Make sure that you are getting enough sleep in order for your body to be able to function properly and continue losing pounds.
