How to Replace the Circuit Board in a Frigidaire Dishwasher
- 1). Turn off the dishwasher breaker in your service panel.
- 2). Open the dishwasher door and remove the screws securing the dishwasher's control panel to the door, located on the top and sides of the inner door panel.
- 3). Close the dishwasher door, but do not latch it.
- 4). Pull the control panel off of the dishwasher door.
- 5). Depress the tabs securing the circuit board cover to the inside of the control panel using a flat-head screwdriver. It may be necessary to insert the screw driver into the bottom of the control panel to access the bottom tab. Remove the circuit board cover.
- 6). Remove the thermal fuse from the side of the circuit board by using a small flat-head screwdriver to release the tabs.
- 7). Depress the tabs on the side of the control panel ribbon connector, located on the left-side of the circuit board, and remove the control panel ribbon connector.
- 8). Depress the tabs securing the circuit board to the control panel using a flat-head screwdriver, and then remove the circuit board. On some models of Frigidaire dishwashers, the circuit board may be secured using screws, rather than tabs.
- 9). Insert the new circuit board into the control panel, and press down on it to lock it in place, or, secure it using the screws that were removed.

Transfer the wires from the old circuit board to the new circuit board. - 11
Reconnect the control panel ribbon connector, then snap the thermal fuse back into position. - 12
Snap the circuit board cover back into position. - 13
Replace the control panel and secure it using the screws that were removed. - 14
Close the dishwasher door and then restore power to the dishwasher.
