How to Play E9 on the Ukulele
- 1). Play a basic, easy E9 bar chord. Finger the 1st fret of the G string with your index finger. Bar the 2nd fret of the other three strings with your middle finger.
- 2). Play the same chord one octave up. Finger the 13th fret of the G string with your index finger. Bar the 14th fret of the other three strings with your middle finger.
- 3). Play another E9 chord. Finger the 4th fret of the G and E chords with your index and middle fingers, respectively. Finger the 6th fret of the C string with your pinky and the 4th fret of the A with your ring finger.
- 4). Play one more version E9 ukulele chord. Finger the 7th fret of the G and E strings with your index and middle fingers, respectively. Finger the 8th fret of the C string with your ring finger. Finger the 9th fret of the A string with your pinky.
- 1). Play an extremely easy E9 chord. Leave the D and B strings open. Finger the first fret of the the G string with your index finger. Finger the 2nd fret of the E string with your middle finger.
- 2). Slide that chord up an octave. Bar the 12th fret with your index finger. Finger the 13th fret of the G with your middle finger. Finger the 14th fret of E with your pinky. To make the chord easier, or to get a different sound, you can leave out the 12 bar.
- 3). Try another E9 chord. Play the 6th fret of the D string with your pinky. Play the 4th fret of the G string with your ring finger. Play the 3rd fret of the B string with your middle finger. Play the 2nd fret of the E string with your index finger.
- 4). Try an easy E9 bar chord. Finger the 6th fret of the D string with your index finger. Bar the 7th fret with your middle finger.
