- 1). Open the dishwasher.
- 2). Press on the dispenser cover latch to open the dispenser. Pull on the dispenser cover if it does not spring open.
- 3). Clear out any old soap that may have been in the device for a long period of time and refill the dispenser with new soap. Old soap can cause the door to stick closed.
- 4). Press the dispenser door closed.
- 5). Move any casserole dishes or oven baking sheets away from the front of the dishwasher toward the side or the back. Tall items at the front of the appliance may block the dispenser door from fully opening.
