    • 1). Put on safety goggles and rubber gloves. Loosen and remove the battery vent caps with the battery vent wrench.

    • 2). Check the electrolyte (acid) level in each battery cell. If the electrolyte level is below the "Fill" line, top up that cell with distilled water until it reaches the bottom of the "Fill" line.

    • 3). Replace the battery vent caps. Tighten the caps with the battery vent wrench until the caps are snug.

    • 4). Attach the positive (red) battery charger lead to the positive battery terminal. Attach the negative (black) battery charger lead to the negative battery terminal.

    • 5). Plug the battery charger into a wall socket, and turn on the charger. Allow the battery to charge for approximately one hour.
