How to Transfer Data From a USB to a PS3

1). Turn your PS3 off and insert the USB flash drive.
2). Turn the PS3 back on. The XMB bar (the menu that first loads when you turn the PS3 on) will load.
3). Use the directional pad on the PS3 controller to scroll to the category that best represents the type of data you want to transfer. For example, if you want to transfer a movie, scroll to the "Videos" section on the XMB bar.
4). Select "Display All." Press the "X" button to bring up a list of all available music on the USB drive. Select the file that you want to transfer. Press the "X" button, then select "Copy." The file will copy onto the PS3 hard drive.
