How to Set Up a Gift Registry
- 1). Select the companies that you want to set up your gift registry through. Choosing a store that is convenient in location can make exchanges or returns more convenient.
- 2). On the selected organization's homepage, choose the type of gift registry you wish to set up: wedding, baby or another kind. Usually there is a button or link on the homepage that can be easily selected for the purpose of setting up a gift registry.
- 3). Fill out the gift registry user information. This usually includes creating a user name and password for the gift registry as well as putting in some personal information including name, mailing address and billing address. Print out a copy of your user name and password for safe keeping.
- 4). Select the gifts that you want to designate as gift options on your gift registry. Try to choose options in several different price ranges including under $10, under $20, under $50, under $100, under $250, under $500 and under $1000 to meet the budgets of all those who will be selecting from the gift registry.
- 5). Email the gift registry link---if the website supplies one---to those who may be interested in purchasing a gift using the gift registry.
