If you get your first paragraph wrong you will kill your article.
I have seen so many articles fail because of a dire first paragraph.
If you write an article concentrate on the first paragraph the most.
Make sure you get that right and your article will get republished a heck of a lot more than they are now.
I shake my head with frustration when I see so many good articles get buried as the first paragraph sucks.
How Do You Get That First Paragraph Right? The key is meta tagging when you write an article or post on your website; you have to enter the meta tag and title plus a meta description.
It is the same with writing articles for directories your headline is the meta title and your first paragraph becomes you meta description.
You see how that first paragraph suddenly becomes important? If you first paragraph doesn't precisely fit your meta description needs then you article will get lost in the pack whilst people like me blow your articles out of the water.
The Three Tips To Writing That Killer First Paragraph 1.
You first paragraph should always have under 40 words in it.
2.
I would recommend that your first paragraph should be two sentences.
3.
You keyword(s) has to be in the first sentence.
This seem simple right? Well it is amazing how many people just don't do it.
Most article writers just head right into the body of their article and have like 8-10 sentences in their first paragraph.
This approach will not get you republished.
I know article writing can be a challenge and yes go ahead and just write the article.
The tip is to go back and then make sure you first paragraph is two sentences once you have finished.
For example look at my first paragraph it is 33 words long and my keywords "write killer articles" and "writing the perfect first paragraph" are in the title and fist sentence.
When I post this article I will use the first paragraph as my meta description and just wait for it to be republished.
If you use this method of article writing you will find you article will rank highly in the search engines such as Google, Yahoo and Bing which is another bonus on top of getting you article republished many times.
The first paragraph is very important and so always go back and make sure you have the first paragraph right and you will get much more from any article you publish from now on.
