Copywriting Tips - Making Your Copy Come to Life
There is nothing worse than copy that is a real snoozer.
If it's putting YOU to sleep, imagine what it's doing to your prospects.
Well, if your prospects go to sleep while reading your copy, the bottom line is that they don't purchase your product because they end up closing up the sales page long before they get to the buy now button, and that's if they don't fall asleep before they hit that big X.
Well, this article is going to give you a few tips to make your copy come to life.
Best way to bring your copy to life is right from the get go...
with your headline.
A great headline will grab the attention of your prospect right away.
But what makes a great headline? What kind of headline will make a prospect sit up and take notice? Well, there are many ways.
One way is with the headline that makes a big promise such as, "I'll Relieve You Of Your Debt In 30 Days...
Or Your Money Back".
Or you could use a headline that asks a question such as, "If I Could Show You A Way To Earn $3,000 Monthly...
Would That Be Worth 5 Minutes Of Your Time?" By asking questions, it forces the prospect to come up with an answer and thus gets his attention.
So headlines are a great way to make your copy come to life.
Another great way is with the body of your copy.
So many sales letters just read like boring dictation.
So why not inject a little life into the body of your copy with a personal story? Prospects love personal stories.
They like to feel that they can relate to what you're going through.
So if you start off your copy with something like, "I was out of work, broke and out of hope before I finally found something that changed everything.
" You've caught the prospect's attention right away by telling them that you were out of luck but because of something you've found, things changed.
They're going to want to know what it is.
Finally, there are your supporting characters such as bullet points and testimonials.
Glowing testimonials are a great way to bring your copy to life.
A prospect reading about how a previous customer of yours was so happy with your product that they had to give a glowing testimonial is going to get their attention and most likely improve the chances that they purchase your product.
Of course there are other things such as breaking your copy up with subheads and writing a strong call to action, but just these few things will greatly improve your copy and really bring it to life.
