He suffered a cardiac arrest on the 3rd of January and was admitted to Jupiter Hospital in Thane. He was on life support but slipped into a coma and could not be revived. On Monday, 10 January 2011 Shauq died from septicemia. His funeral was held on Tuesday, Janaury 11th 2011 at 4pm at Sant Nirankari Mission.
Vivek was also known face in the Ad world. He had done Ads for several brands such as HCL Computers, Vasmol, Nokia CDMA, Chlorates, and CP Plywood.
