Once you have taken a divorce it is important to move on.
It is only human to remain upset for a while but with time you need to reshape your life again.
There is no doubt that it is hard to start living away from somebody you shared your every day with.
On the other hand it is never too late to find new interests that can bring some joy and pleasure back into your life.
A new hobby at church or maybe in the community or even at home can help you make a new beginning.
Once you work through grieving you needto look for other things to make you happy.
If you are a loaner you could find a hobby that doesn't require the involvement of other people.
Art and pottery sounds like they could keep you satisfied.
Writing is another classic fascination for people who prefer to be on their own.
When you put your feelings down on paper it is so much easier to deal with them.
That is so much better than becoming a couch potato with those fries and beer.
Some people on the other hand prefer hobbies where they could meet other people possibly a new spouse.
The swimming pool and the bowling alley are favorites among such people.
Playing sophisticated card games is another social hobby.
But if you are thinking serious social interactions go for dance lessons.
Learn the ballroom dances and learn to jazz and to jive.
Dancing will not only keep your body in shape it will also help you meet new people every time you are out there on the floor.
You could always begin your lessons with a close friend or a relative.
If dancing is not your thing why not interact with society in a field that you are already good at? Becoming the coach at a local school of sports club is one such option.
You could also it shows to be a part of social welfare.
You could help the poor, help raise funds for good causes or spread awareness on issues you feel are important for our world.
When you have just gone through a divorce anything that can keep you occupied in a constructive manner is good for you.
The only way to get out of the feelings of hurt and disgust is to shift your attention on to something that deserves it more.
Some people just go out and buy a 25,000 piece jigsaw puzzle.
Whatever gets you through the night is all right, as John Lennon said.
You need to do anything that you could to keep the mind occupied.
Remember an idle mind is the devil's workshop.
On the other hand when the mind is already occupied it has little reason or room to concentrate on hurt and pain from your past.
In the absence of these constructive habits the mind well hang on to other destructive habits such as heavy drinking and cigarette smoking.
Find a new outlet for positive energy release and the negative will automatically go away.
