    • 1). Visit the "Advanced Settings" section on the computer attached to the Ooma device to configure your settings on the Ooma setup site (see Resources). Use your networking knowledge to create the Internet Protocol, or IP, address you want to use. If you do not have networking knowledge, you can take college networking classes to learn the proper way to create an IP address, how to protect your IP address and the procedures to maintain your IP address.

    • 2). Type the IP address you chose into the "Start Address" and "End Address" of the "DHCP Configuration," section as well as in the "DMZ Address" section.

    • 3). Reset the RG by pressing and holding the "Reset" button located under the bottom of the device.

    • 4). Restart your computer by pressing and holding the "Power" button on the computer tower.
