- 1). Take a look at the display panel lights. They are fairly self-explanatory and can give you a good idea as to what might be wrong. "Cool," for example, means the water is below 20 degrees. No action is required and the error will extinguish when the water reaches the correct temperature. "Hot" refers to the circuit board, not the water, so move the hot tub into the shade. Refer to the instruction book for the full glossary.
- 2). Throw the household circuit breaker if the Jacuzzi whirlpool won't turn on. There may well be a second circuit breaker that's located near the hot tub. Make sure it's on too.
- 3). Press the "jets" button if the jets don't operate. Prime the pump if the motor operates but there's no water flow to the jets. Turn the power off to the Jacuzzi. Remove the handle from the massage selector that comes from the pump to be primed. Loosen the cap slightly and listen for escaping air. Tighten the cap and try the Jacuzzi again. Open the air control for the jets if the jet action seems poor.
- 4). Lower the thermostat setting if the water is too hot. Keep the cover in place when the hot tub is heating if the temperature is too cool. Set the temperature lower if the filter/circulation pump won't come on and you want it to. A summer economy program kicks in if the water temperature is warmer than 95-degrees and 2 degrees warmer than the set temperature.
- 5). Check the water quality for balance if the water isn't shiny. The pH is supposed to be between 7.2 and 7.8. Test the water with a kit and add sodium carbonate to raise the pH and sodium bisulphate to lower it. Follow the directions on the containers for quantities.
