Who wouldn't want to make $5000 a week working from home stuffing envelopes? These scams have been around for years but have become more prominent with the internet.
A few well-placed ads on existing and legitimate websites and they can seem legitimate too.
Try to Google "Work from home" and see how many ads pop up promising that you can make x amount of dollars by tonight! Some of these schemes include stuffing envelopes, processing medical insurance, making toys, re-shipping, and check cashing to name a few.
So how can you avoid getting scammed? One thing to remember is that if it sounds too good to be true then it usually is.
Check the website for misspellings, bad grammar, and lots of capitalization and exclamation points.
This is a sign that this is not a legitimate opportunity.
Also remember that testimonials can be faked so don't fall for those either.
Never pay money up front for any business opportunity.
For example, paying x amount of dollars for a list of survey sites or businesses that need typers or for set up or start up kits that will help you launch your empire.
This is how these people make their money and you end up with information that you probably could have found for free.
The thing that you have to remember is that there are legitimate ways to make money online and work from home.
There are plenty of sites out there that are willing to truly help you make money online with our without investment.
The trick is to evaluate each opportunity with caution.
