How to Change the Location of an Outlook PST File
- 1). Open Outlook. Click "File" and "Data File Management." Note the current location of the PST file and close the program.
- 2). Navigate to the folder where the PST file is stored and select it. Press "CTRL" and "X" to "cut" the file from that location.
- 3). Open the location where you would like to store the PST file and press "CTRL" and "V" to paste the file into the new location.
- 1). Open Outlook again, and click "File" and "Data File Management."
- 2). Click "Add" and select the first option if you are using Outlook 2003 or later; use the second option if you are using an earlier version. Click "OK."
- 3). Browse to the new location of your PST file and select it. Click "OK" and click "OK" again. This will update Outlook with the new location of your PST file.
