How to Make a Fabric Pleated Circle
- 1). Cut a section of thread that measures around 30 inches. Fold the yarn in half and double thread the needle. Tie a knot at the end of the thread.
- 2). Sew around the edge of the circle using the thread and needle. Stitch from front to back of the circle. End the stitching at the starting point and tie.
- 3). Pull the end stitch tight to crinkle up the fabric.
- 4). Flatten the circle with the stitches facing upward. Press out the fabric to created a pleated surface.
- 5). Sew down through the center of the circle, pulling tight on the ends. Tie the end knot and cut thread when finished.
- 6). Press fabric flat on a surface with the thread side facing upward.
