- 1). Explore Sinnoh until you've encountered 150 species of Pokemon. With each encounter, your Sinnoh Pokedex will add a new entry about the Pokemon.
- 2). Go to Sandgem Town, which is east of Route 201.
- 3). Go to the laboratory in the northwest corner of Sandgem Town.
- 4). Talk to Professor Rowan so he can examine your Pokedex. Afterward, he will upgrade your Sinnoh Pokedex to the National Pokedex.
- 5). Exit the laboratory and enter the house in the southeast corner of Sandgem Town.
- 6). Talk to the girl who lives inside the house. Every day, she will tell you where you can find a Pokemon swarm. Repeat this step daily until she reports that Beldum are swarming on Route 228.
- 7). Fly to the Survival Area in northeast Sinnoh.
- 8). Travel east from the Survival Area to reach Route 226. Continue traveling east through Route 226 until you arrive at Route 228. You will need Pokemon that know the Rock Climb and Surf abilities to traverse Route 226.
- 9). Explore the tall grass on Route 228 until you encounter a wild Beldum. Beldum's encounter rate during a swarm is 40 percent, so you may find multiple members of the species.

Weaken Beldum with attacks. Beldum is at level 53, so you will need to hit it with Fire- and Ground-type attacks to inflict the most damage. - 11
Throw an Ultra Ball to capture Beldum.
