- 1). Lay a standard sheet of paper on the table in front of you. Take the bottom corner of the paper and fold it across until the corner touches the left side of the paper. Press the edge to crease the paper and form a triangle.
- 2). Use a pair of scissors to cut off the excess flap of paper outside of the triangle. Unfold the paper, which should be a perfect square with a diagonal crease.
- 3). Take the left corner of the paper and fold it diagonally so that the corners touch. Press the fold to crease the paper. Open the paper back to the square shape. The paper should have two diagonal creases that form an "X" shape" across the paper.
- 4). Bring the bottom left corner to the center of the square with the tip in the cross of the X. Crease the fold and repeat for the remaining corners until all the corners are folded.
- 5). Turn the folded square over. Fold each of the corners' points into the center again and crease the folds.
- 6). Use crayons, colored pencils or markers to write the numbers 1 through 8 in each triangle.
