Getting Your Bridal Bouquet and Other Wedding Flowers Perfect
One of the most important decisions you have to make is choosing the right wedding flowers that will fit in with your theme and colour scheme.
Flowers are good at affecting the mood and fragrance throughout the wedding so making sure you get it right is crucial.
The flowers you chose to use will not only effect the big day but will stay in your memories and photographs forever.
Having a beautiful bouquet will finish off the whole of your attire on your wedding day.
You may have already chosen a gorgeous wedding dress, so a beautiful bouquet is a must to not only bring out the best features in you and your dress but also piece together with your bridesmaids and really make the whole look you are aiming for fit together perfectly.
It will definitely be a lot to take in initially so it is good to get a few tips and tricks to help make it easier for you.
1)Collect and research - Look online at other peoples wedding flowers via popular florist's portfolios and image galleries.
Any good florist will have pictures displayed on their website to give you an idea of their quality of work.
You can also collect images from magazines and bridal books for inspiration or even just pieces of material or ribbon you find which has a specific colour you like.
It is likely that there will be a flower out there with the same or similar colouring.
2)Themes - Think about if your wedding has a theme or not.
Whether it is a traditional wedding, gothic wedding, red wedding, beach wedding etc.
You will need your flowers to coincide with the theme.
As there are many things that can be incorporated into a bouquet of flowers it would be an idea to again gather pictures of things you think will look good.
3)Different flowers for different dresses - You not only need to think of your flowers but you will need to think of your bridesmaids flowers so if possible, get a swatch of the different dress fabrics and try and find flowers to compliment them all.
4)Seasonal flowers - If you can, try and work within seasons.
Popular flowers like orchids, lilies and roses are available all year round but there are also special flowers available at different seasons so the prices will vary depending on when you are choosing to get married.
If you are choosing wedding flowers on a budget, then stick within season.
But for those with cash to splash, out of season flowers can usually be imported for an extra cost.
5)Budget - Set yourself a budget and stick with it.
This will not only be helpful for you but will save your florist a lot of time if they know how much money they have to work with and they can go and get you the best value out there for that budget.
Obviously you will need to think of wedding flowers throughout your venue that will compliment your bouquets so again, gather ideas and pictures to show your florist.
A good florist will be happy to meet all of your demands; after all it is going to be one of the most important days you will ever have.
