    Mothers of Multiples Club

    • New Jersey has Mothers of Multiples clubs in several counties. The organizations often offer scholarship funds. Each year the New Jersey Association of Twins' Mothers Clubs holds a convention for member organizations. Representatives from each organization have the task of selling 50/50 raffle tickets. In a 50/50 raffle, half the proceeds go to the member organization and the other half goes to the winner in the form of a scholarship.

    Scholarships Close to New Jersey

    • You should consider twins scholarships close to New Jersey. For example, the New York Mothers of Multiples association has the Marie Simmons Scholarship Program, which awards $1,000 to each twin and $1,000 to a mother of twins attending college. Randolph-Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, Virginia, awards a scholarship worth 15 percent of tuition to twin sisters that enroll in a degree-seeking program.

    Discounts

    • Some colleges around the New Jersey offer discounts to students that come from multiple sibling families, even though it's not limited to twins. George Washington University in Washington, D.C., offers a 50 percent discount for a second sibling. Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, automatically awards a 45 discount on each sibling's tuition, but is a women's college.

    Considerations

    • Any renewable scholarship usually requires the recipient to maintain a certain grade point average -- typically a 3.0 or "B" average -- such as the Bonnie Evans Feinberg Scholarship of West Chester University of Pennsylvania. State and federal aid probably will be your main source of aid. Families with multiple children in college at once generally receive the most amount of financial aid, which you can use at any accredited college in New Jersey.
