Guide Review - Young Jeezy - "Put On" (Featuring Kanye West

Though I've listened to "Put On" a million times, I still occasionally have to remind myself that it's Jeezy featuring Yeezy, not the other way around.

Kanye outshines his host, thanks, in part to *surprise* Auto-Tune.

Jeezy kicks off the song with ho-hum boasts about being his city's rap ambassador. When a break beat finally sets up Kanye's robo-voice entrance, you're almost thankful to get a break from Jeezy's monotonous chops. Ye's verse packs just enough wit to keep you hooked, but doesn't venture any further.
