How to Make a Crown Pillow
- 1). Lay the cardboard on your work surface and draw a large crown shape with a pen or pencil. Make the crown any size you like. Use a stencil to help with the drawing if you prefer. Cut out the crown template.
- 2). Lay the template on the pillow fabric and trace around the crown. Repeat one more time on the same fabric or a different fabric for the back of the crown. Cut out the two crown shapes.
- 3). Place the crowns together with the good sides inward. Sew a running stitch around the top, intricate section of the crown. Leave 1/4-inch seam allowance.
- 4). Sew a running stitch down both sides of the crown. Sew all but 3 inches of the bottom of the crown as well.
- 5). Turn the pillow right side out through the 3-inch hole and then stuff the pillow through the same hole. Push the cotton batting firmly into the top points of the crown and then fill the remainder.
- 6). Fold the outer edges of the 3-inch hole inward and sew the hole closed.
- 7). Embellish the pillow with glue-on gemstones or rhinestones.
