Ronco Rotisseries Instructions
- 1). Insert the grate cover and drip tray into the oven. The Ronco rotisserie should never be operated without these two parts in place.
- 2). Place a strip of aluminum foil beneath the rotisserie extending several inches in front of the oven door. This will catch any drips that leak out the door of the oven.
- 3). Slide the poultry or meat to be rotisserie roasted on the "spit" rods. Secure the gear wheel to the rods after the food is fully loaded on the spit.
- 4). Position the gear wheels into the rest area first, before fully sliding the assembly into the cook position inside the oven body.
- 5). Set the rotation switch on the machine to "normal rotation."
- 6). Set the timer for the number of minutes per pound. For chicken, this would be 15 minutes per pound so the timer would be set to 1 hour for a 4 lb. chicken. For a 4 lb. beef roast, allow for 16 to 18 minutes per pound.
- 7). Open and slide the door under the unit when the food is done. The unit will automatically turn itself off and a bell will chime.
- 8). Use oven mitts to grasp the spit and move it to the "rest" position at the front of the oven. Grasp the spit firmly to move the meat to a platter or cutting board for slicing.
