- 1). Select a photo from your collection. Upload and print the photo if taken with a digital camera, or choose a paper photo that is suitable for adding glitter, such as landscape photo. Decide on the glitter that will be used on the photo as well and put the glitter into cupcake liners. The cupcake liners make it easier to pour the glitter onto the photo.
- 2). Apply glue to the back of the photo. Turn the photo over so that the back side faces up. Hold the adhesive spray can 6-inches above the picture, and spray glue onto the back of the photo. Pick the photo up from the right corner with your fingers.
- 3). Place the photo onto the mat board. Cover the photo with the sheet of plain white paper and pat the top surface of the paper with your hands. The paper protects the photo from smudges made by your hands. Remove the paper and allow the photo to dry on the mat board for five minutes.
- 4). Put the photo and mat board over the sheet of construction paper. Carefully outline portions of the picture with the tip of the glue pen or bottle. Then fill in the selected area with the glue. Add glue to each section individually, rather than all areas at the same time, to prevent the glue from drying on the picture.
- 5). Pour the glitter over the corresponding areas on the picture. Carefully tip the cupcake liner on its side, and slowly shake the glitter out from cup onto the picture. Stand the photo up after adding the glitter, and shake the excess glitter off from the photo onto the construction paper.
- 6). Set the picture and mat board aside and pour the excess glitter back into its cupcake liner. Allow the glitter and glue to dry on the photo for two hours before handling.
