Plain rugs can come in several different shapes, sizes, colors and more essentially prices. You can walk into a store and find a rug for around 30 then head to a rug shop and a similar rug is priced at over 100 or more. The reason the prices range is not necessarily obvious to everyone.

One of the reasons the prices vary is because of the material they are formed. Clearly those formed from wool or silk will be more costly than rugs made from synthetic or man-made components.

Another reason the prices differ is because of how they are made. Machine made rugs are made in big quantities. They can be designed of pretty much any stuff. They can be designed with several textures styles and sizes rapidly and effectively. Handmade rugs on the other hand need a person using a tool to tuft the rug by hand. Few handmade rugs involve a person's spinning the yarn and knotting each rug 1 yarn at a time which is quite time-consuming. These types of rugs can fetch up to 10,000. Also handmade rugs are generally made from natural elements such as wool or silk which is more pricey.

If you are planning on going shopping for a rug it is suggested to determine how much you are willing to invest first. There are so many styles of rugs at nearly any cost. Once you have established your budget you are then free concentrate of locating the perfect rug for your money.

Sometimes plain rugs will go with a place better than one with a snazzy pattern on it. With the fancy designer wall papers that seem to be cropping up in people's homes, it makes sense to tone down the floor area and stick to a plain rug.

If money is not an issue then you should definitely go for a wool rug, perhaps even a designer rug. Wool rugs are the top quality rugs available today, they are naturally stains repellent, easy to clean, very long lasting and even fire repellent. They are a little bit more costly, but great plain wool rug will survive for years and years. Buying plain rugs without a design will survive even longer due to the fact a patterned wool rug could be out-dated as new and beautiful designed rugs available in the market.

The budget conscious should check out the machine made plain rugs. They still look pretty and because they are cheaper you can change then in few years.
