As Old As You Are

Even then in my heart, Though long passage of time, As you walk even as a baby, And you see so faintly, Though white hair has covered, And the third leg keeps helping, Even then as old as you are, The love has never changed! Things we did we do no more, The run around all had ceased, And we sit to see how time had flown, Seasons lapsed though for all, As we've grown tired and weak, And our eyes about to close in death, Then as old as you are, My love for you has never changed! Just like the little lilies, Coming at early days so beautifully, In verse colours they spring up, Radiating in the finest and brightest, And with time they all faded away, And seems they were never beautiful, Then the rags could tell the new beastly, We've also enjoyed in time past.
With the teeth bones have broken, The body had worn the best of clothes, The high ill shoes all gone away, And the eyes stricken with no more shadows, The belly ceased for sumptuous meals, And the organs fail for lovers play, As the reality of time set in, As though we never shared all in us.
Come still to me my precious, Even as old as you are, My heart longs for you all day, Though stricken in age and days, My heart longs for you all day, As we go slowly even to beach, And eat vegetable as though bones, Yet, our love never is old in us.
