- 1). Click on the Start button. Type "Paint" into the Start menu's search box. Click on the Paint icon when it appears in the Start menu.
- 2). Click on one of the star tools in Paint's "Shapes" menu. You can select a "Four-point star," "Five-point star" or "Six-point star."
- 3). Click on the "Color 1" button and then select an outline color for your star from the Colors palette.
- 4). Click on the "Fill" button and then select the "Solid fill" option to fill your star with a color -- this step is optional. Click on the "Color 2" button, and then select a fill color from the Colors palette.
- 5). Draw your star. Click and hold down the left mouse button while dragging your cursor across Paint's canvas; drag the cursor diagonally.
- 6). Click on the blue "Paint" button. Select the "Save as" option from the Paint menu to save your work.
