- 1). Shake the bedroll out completely to remove loose dirt.
- 2). Lay it out flat in an outdoor space. If you can't wash it outside, shake it outside and lay it flat in your bathtub.
- 3). Add 1 tbsp. liquid dishwashing soap to 1 quart hot water.
- 4). Dip a scrubbing brush into the soapy water and scrub it over the surface of the canvas bedroll. Scrub until it is completely clean.
- 5). Rinse the canvas with cold water from a hose or showerhead until the water runs clear and all of the soap residue is gone.
- 6). Hang the canvas bedroll out to dry over your shower rod or on a laundry line outside. Hang it for several hours or days until it is completely dry. Don't fold it before it is dry or attempt to dry it in your dryer.
