How to Set Up Wireless Printing With a 2Wire Modem
- 1). Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on AirPort Express, and the other end into the DSL modem. Insert the AirPort installation disc and follow the onscreen instructions to install the software.
- 2). Click "Go" at the top of your screen, and then click "Utilities" from the drop-down menu. Double-click the "AirPort Utility" icon to run the application for Macintosh computers. For PCs, click "Start," "All Programs" and "AirPort."
- 3). Click "AirPort Express," and click the "Continue" button. Enter your 2Wire network name, which is "2WIRE" followed by the last 3 digits of the modem's serial number located on the modem. Enter your network password, and click "Continue."
- 4). Set up your printer for Macintosh computers. (If you have a PC, skip this step and go to step 5.) Click the "Apple" icon at the top of your screen, and click "System Preferences." Click the "Print & Fax" icon, and click the "+" button to add a new printer. Plug your printer into the AirPort USB port, and turn on the printer. Click the printer in the list to highlight it, and click the "Add" button.
- 5). Set up your printer for Windows computers. Insert the AirPort installation disc into your disc drive, and double-click the "Bonjour" icon to begin installation. Click "Next" and "Agree" to the license agreement. Click "Install" to proceed. Click your printer from the available list of printers detected, and click "OK" to finish.
