5 Tips On What Not To Do While Working From Home
Whatever the project or business you are working, you have decided to put your energy and efforts into making it a successful one.
So, here are my five tips of what not to do when you are trying to work from home.
TIPS 1.
Treat Your Home-Based Business As A Business: If you do not treat your home-based business as a business, it will not pay you as a business.
If you treat your business as a hobby, it will pay you hobby wages.
2.
Distractions: If you do not turn off electrical items they can become a distraction such as, TVs, alarm clocks, fans, radios, etc.
I would recommend a nice quiet area of your home to set up your office.
3.
Friends: As we all know your friends and family may call at odd times or show up at your home unannounced wanting your attention.
If you do not set a firm time for family and friend interruptions, this will take away from your work productivity.
4.
Social Media: Some people just have to see who is posting something on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
If you do not omit the desire to see what the social media sites are doing, you cannot stay focused on what you are supposed to be doing.
5.
Mindset: If you do not have the correct mindset of a business person, you may have difficulties working from home.
When you think like a business person, you become one.
As you begin to delve deeper into working from home you will become more focused on those things that could become a huge distraction if you allow it.
Well, isn't the reason you quit your daytime job was to work for yourself and be your own boss? You made the decision to create your own stream of income and you also chose to make your own work schedule.
So, now the ball is in your court and you must take charge of your time and the amount of work to be accomplished each day.
We are all guilty of being bit by the distraction bug, but we all can avoid the distractions too.
So, good luck on your new work from home business and I wish you all the success in the world!
