How to Set a Table With Centerpieces

    • 1). Lay down the tablecloth, if you plan to use one.

    • 2). Set the napkins, plates, silverware and glasses.

    • 3). Set one main centerpiece per table. If you have a smaller party of four to six guests, or if you are having the meal at a round table, place one centerpiece in the center of the table.

    • 4). Place three centerpieces on larger tables. If you have more than six guests seated at a rectangular table, you can put one centerpiece near each end and one in the middle of the table. All centerpieces should be in the center and should not clutter the regular table setting.

    • 5). Dedicate a small centerpiece area for each guest. A miniature centerpiece, such as a small candle or party favor, can be placed in the center of the table in front of each guest.
