World Of Warcraft - Priest Class

103 16
A priest can be a healer or damage dealer with two healing specs called the Holy and the Discipline and they have one damage spec called Shadow.
Each of the specs has their own advantages depending on what type of player you are.
If you want to primarily pvp, you'll want to build a spec around that.
A Discipline talent build would be best for pvp healing and a Shadow talent build can deal some major damage with dots (damage over time) in battlegrounds and arenas.
You'll need to focus on high spell power and survivability for your character.
If you plan to heal for raids you'll need to decide if you want to be a raid healer or tank healer and build your talent tree around that.
Disc works a little better for tank and spot healing within a raid because it focuses on bubbles and HOTs (heals over time).
A holy healer has a few mass heals, which better equip them to heal entire raids.
Focus on "spell power" and "haste" to make healing more effective.
You can also build a hybrid spec, meaning more than one talent tree is in use to customize your priest to be playable the way you personally want it to play.
A healer may want to be holy with some Discipline talents to make their survivability higher.
On the other hand, a Shadow priest may want a few holy talents to do additional damage or they may want to use discipline talents for a few quick HOTs to heal themselves.
It's not enough to build a proper talent spec.
You'll also need to rely on your gear to help build the stats you need to succeed.
Priests need to center their attention on intellect, spirit, spell power and spell crit.
Doing this with the priest gear (tier gear) is an easy and effective way to accomplish your goals.
PvP specific gear will help a strong PvP'er in the same way.
A list of the Priest tier gear can be found below: · Tier 1: Vestments of Prophecy · Tier 2: Vestments of Transcendence · Tier 3: Vestments of Faith · Tier 4: Incarnate Armor · Tier 5: Avatar Armor · Tier 6: Absolution Armor · Tier 7: Heroes' Regalia of Faith, Garb of Faith (10 man) Valorous Regalia of Faith and Garb of Faith (25 man) · Tier 8: Valorous Sanctification of Regalia, Sanctification Garb (10 man) Conqueror's Sanctification Regalia and Sanctification Garb (25 man) · Tier 9: Velen's Regalia set, Velen's Rainment set, Zabra's Regalia set and Zabra's Rainment set · Tier 10: Crimson Acolyte's Regalia and Crimson Acolyte's Raiment The 7 races that can play as a priest and the faction they fall under are listed below: Alliance Faction · Human · Dwarf · Night Elf · Draenie Horde Faction · Undead · Troll · Blood Elf A priest can be a very rewarding class to play.
When you are a healer, others depend on you.
This can provide you with a thrill and a sense of self satisfaction that you can't get with just any character.
As a Shadow priest your damage helps achieve goals in dungeons and raids.
No matter what type of priest you decide to play in pvp, your skills help bring in another victory for your faction.
