There are a lot of diet programs on the market to day that do this and there are a lot that just limit certain foods. While some diets are eaier to follow than others, diets that severely limit your food choose are difficult to live with for a lifetime. The following are some Do's and Don'ts concerning diets
Six Do's:
1- Do remember diets are only part of a lifestyle change: Diets are a small part of changing your lifestyle of eating. You should choose the plan that healthy and suitainable.
2- Do follow your new lifestyle of eating first: Most imortant to a healthy life and weight loss is a change in your eating habits. You may lose weight on a diet but you will not maintain that loss if you have your same old habits.
3- Do choose a complimentary diet: A diet should compliment your new lifestyle of eating.
4- Do follow the diet for your lifetime: Choose a diet that you will follow for your lifetime.
5- Do belong to a support group: Whether it is a formal meeting, family, friend, or co-workers, a support group will offer encouragement, recipes, and eating tips.
6- Do be patient: It took very short time to gain the weight but it will take a long time to lose it. You need to remember this fact when you start your weight loss journey.
Three Don'ts:
1- Don't only follow the diet: Following a new lifestyle of eating is more important and beneficial than following only a diet.
2- Don't limit foods: Diet that limit foods are difficult to live with for the rest of your life.
3- Don't believe advertisements: Advertisements that claim you canlose 20 pounds in 10 days are usually starvation or water loss diets and cannot be sustained.
