Most schools charge a fee to have official transcripts mailed to another location. Find out the amount of the fee and payment type that will be accepted. Have the transcripts sent to the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
- 3). Verify that the LPN license is valid. Visit the National Council of State Board of Nursing's Nursys service (nursys.com) and verify that the LPN license is valid and eligible for the state of Kansas. Nursys provides verification information if you were originally licensed in Missouri. The verification information provided by the system is valid for 90 days.
- 4). Get fingerprinted. The fingerprints will be used for background checks. Contact the Kansas State Board of Nursing and have a fingerprinting packet mailed to you. Take the packet to a local law enforcement agency to be fingerprinted. Mail the completed packet to the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
