How to Sync Outlook XP With iGoogle
- 1). Open your Internet Browser and go to Gmail's homepage (see Resources).
- 2). Log in to your Gmail account.
- 3). Click on "Settings" on the top of the page.
- 4). Click on the "Forwarding and Pop" tab.
- 5). Select the "Enable Pop for all email" radio button, then click "Save Change."
- 1). Open Outlook.
- 2). Click on the "Tools" menu, then select "Email Accounts."
- 3). Select "Add an email account" and then click "Next."
- 4). Choose "POP3" as the type of account you are adding and click "Next."
- 5). Enter your name and email address under "User Information."
- 6). Type "pop.gmail.com" for "Incoming mail server (POP3)" and type "smtp.gmail.com" for "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)."
- 7). Type your email address for "User Name" and enter your Gmail password for "Password."
- 8). Click "More Settings."
- 9). Select the "Outgoing Server" tab and check the box next to "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication." Make sure the "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" radio button is selected.

Check the box under "Incoming server (POP3)" and type 995 in the box. - 12
Check the box under "Outgoing server (SMTP)" and type 465 in the box. - 13
Click "OK" and then click on the "Test Account Settings" button. - 14
Click "Close" after the test completes and then click "Next." - 15
Click "Finish" to complete the process.
