(Is this a sign that he promised to quit if he loses?) Hell, it not like he's starving for nothing.
With the 400 million return he invested in Vitamin water, it's a bittersweet victory.
So let's sum up the two in comparison.
The release date was billed the biggest in history, although 5 to 10 years from now I doubt that anybody will even give a damn.
Neither one will get a mention as the greatest lyricist of all time.
So now Public Enemy comes to mind when they said, DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE.
As a DJ, I look at West's album Graduation noticing no club bangers like Golddigger or All falls down, no anthem songs like Jesus walks or Touch the sky.
So with the song Stronger for the top pop charts, Get my money right for the streets, (mixtape remix with Young Jeezy) besides maybe Champion or Good life with T-Pain, there's really nothing else to blast the speakers with or ring tone to death.
Now with 50's album Curtis, Follow my lead with Robin Thicke(arguably the best song on the album) I get Money (mixtape remix with Ludacris & another with Jay-Z & P.

Ayo technology with Justin Timberlake for the top pop chart, songs already released on the mixtape circuit along with a bogard style of promotion at street & retail, the gorilla general seems destined to win.

In closing, one has to ask what did the prize fight accomplish overall? If maybe the two donated some of the proceeds to their favorite charity, it would of been more dignified.
Yet & still, the battle royal did'nt do a thing to save rap music's declining sales, redundant radio songs & recent ringtone one hit wonders.
There's no more battles to look forward to so may I suggest some ideas to keep the rest of us interested? Maybe push up Lil Wayne release date to Jay-Z's? Or maybe since these two female MC's recent run-ins with the law, how about Foxy Brown & Remy Ma do a freestyle battle live from sing-sing? Or worse for the MTV commercial cornballs, a fashion contest with Outkast & the Black Eyed Peas? Whatever the case, just do something so Rap does'nt do like the title of 50's original album, Before I self destruct?!
