- 1). Complete your move to Texas so that you will have proof of your new residence. Address changes and SSI transfers do not have to be performed before moving; you have 10 days past the month following the move to complete the transfer.
- 2). Visit the local Social Security Administration office for the town or city in Texas you have moved to. Inform one of the workers in the office that you wish to report a change in address for your SSI benefits, explaining that you have moved from Arizona.

While the Social Security Administration handles the processing of state supplements for some states, in Texas you are required to report your change in residency directly to the state to ensure that you receive all of the supplementary income that is due to you.
