How to Get 'Rock Band One' Songs on the Second Game

1). Go to the Xbox Marketplace or PlayStation Store from the console menu. Select "Rock Band 2" from the list of games.
2). Choose the "Transfer License" from the list of downloads. Confirm that you want to purchase it. This costs 400 Microsoft points on the Xbox 360 and $5 on the PlayStation 3.
3). Insert the "Rock Band" game disc. You must allow the game to update if prompted.
4). Select "Options" from the main menu.
5). Select "Song Export" from the options menu. This is a new option that was added in a game update.
6). Wait for the game to complete copying the songs to your hard drive. This process will take several minutes to complete.
7). Insert the "Rock Band 2" game disc. Almost all of the songs from "Rock Band" will now be available for selection.
