Now that we are getting closer to the release of World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, we are finally starting to see more info pop up in blue posts (Blizz empolyee posts).
If you are interested in gear changes and how new gear will be different from the old, then read on.
The new Talent-Mastery system has been designed so that all players, both new and old will be able to get into it easily.
According to Blizzard the new system has been designed so that it will be practically impossible to spend your talent points in any way that could make you gimp yourself.
If it works as advertised then it will be a great improvement over the current system where there are a number of ways new players can incorrectly spend talent points and unknowingly make themselves weak.
Due to incorrect talent point spendage, these poor new players are dooming their leveling speed to unbearable slowness.
While the new changes will be great and fantastic and all that, it will still be theoretically possible to spend your hard earned talent points in a foolish manner.
Experienced players who already know how to get the most good from their talents will be even happier with their talent tree choices, because as they continue to spend points, they will receive additional bonuses in that talent tree.
Mastery bonus distribution will have 3 different mastery bonuses! At this point we don't know much about it, but here is what we DO know: The mastery bonuses will apply to all classes, and every single talent tree.
This adds up to 30 different mastery bonuses in the game.
You get the first two mastery stats by spending into your favorite talent tree and collecting your class gear.
Some might say that in doing this Blizz is trying to keep hunters from looting all the gear created for other classes.
So, if the hunter in your party takes the cloth pants, he will lose his armor mastery bonus.
Another one of the bonuses is a slight increase to damage and healing for all classes.
A few mastery bonuses are likely to substitute some talents, making talent choices much more flexible.
It will be interesting to see what other upcoming changes Blizzard has in store for us.
